SIFE
At a time when Puerto Rico's economic situation was taking a turn for the worse and Island professionals were leaving by the thousands, a group of top executives from Puerto Rico's most successful companies opted to take steps to create a better climate for future business leaders. SIFE (Students for Free Enterprise) of Puerto Rico debuted in 2007 with the support of Holsum, Wal-mart, Burger King, Able Sales, Suiza Dairy, V. Suárez, Molinos de Puerto Rico, Western Bank and others.
SIFE is a program that invites youths to identify social problems and to structure business solutions that pave the way for economic development. In just one year, seven universities created SIFE chapters and developed proyects to tackle social problems. In October 2007, the first Puerto Rican team went to represent the Island ina worldwide competition held in New York.
Altamente was comissioned to develop its Puerto Rico site.
Their need: to have a portal to share the SIFE spirit, news, information and pictures with each of the members,m other college students, possible sponsors, community members and the world. It was important that the site was very easy to mantain and that members had a place on the web they could feel proud of.
